Openings: Juniper Commons

Dust off those scrunchies and press your Members Only jackets, Juniper Commons (521 S. Broad St.), Kevin Sbraga's ode to the 80s is opening its doors on December 8th. Inspired by the smooth sounds of Lionel Richie and the classic steakhouse menu of The Pub in South Jersey, Juniper Commons is planning on serving reimagined takes on table side caesars as well as a salad bar that comes to you. There will be prime rib (wood-fired, of course) and crab stuffed flounder among the menu of throwbacks. At the bar there's a serious gin selection plus house-bottled wine coolers (a white one with chardonnay, gin, roasted pear, ginger, and vanilla and a red starring pinot noir, apple brandy, blackberry, and pomegranate). Here's a peek at the opening menu:

American Caviar Service
warm blinis, toast, crème fraiche, chopped egg, parsley, red onion, and lemon

Stuffed Flounder
blue crab imperial, beurre leger, and green beans

Chicken Pot Pie
puff pastry and root vegetables

Surf & Turf
half of a grilled Maine lobster, ribeye steak, drawn butter, and house steak sauce

Baked Potato

marrow butter, parsley, bread crumbs, and crème fraiche

Grilled Poached Artichokes

lemon aioli, cilantro, oregano, and parmesan bread crumbs
