Say hello to Vetri's Navy Yard newcomer!

Openings: Lo Spiedo

After a soft opening over the weekend Marc Vetri's latest, Lo Spiedo (4503 S. Broad St., building 500) is open for business in the Navy Yard. We had a chance to check out some of the cocktail offerings over the weekend including a killer gin and tonic with house-made tonic and dried lime, a bloody mary featuring fire-roasted tomatoes and a take on a Martinez that incorporates super earthy porcini mushrooms. Also not to be missed are the grilled wings, fried mozzarella, spit roasted vegetable salad and cornbread with rotisserie drippings. Hours so far are Monday to Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. There's a happy hour situation happening Monday to Thursday from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Fridays 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Stay tuned for brunch.
