Philly time traveler film funded by Kickstarter premiers tonight

Back in February, we wrote about local filmmaker Amy Frear's successful crowdfunding campaign to produce a short film, Another Time, about:

A twenty-something woman who may or may not be a lost time traveler dealing with commitment issues and indecision in present day Philadelphia. Shot entirely in Old City and Fishtown, the film uses the talents of an all Philadelphia based cast and crew, including some of Philadelphia favorite historical re-interpreters (Rob Carroll as Benjamin Franklin, John Lopes as George Washington). Amy Frear, the writer and director of the film who also plays the role of Harriet, works as a historical tour guide around the city.

It premiers tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the new Venice Island Performing Art Center in Manayunk. $5 admission also gets you sneak peeks at work from local filmmakers Samantha Paradise, Common Society, Brian Gallagher, John McGlaughlin, Woodshop Films, Cinevore.com and the premiere of Sweetbreadstudios' music video "Whether" by singer/songwriter Julia Othmer, directed by Jena Serbu.
