Plan Ahead: Bacon & Beer Fest

It might be a little less than a month out but tickets to the second annual Philadelphia Bacon & Beer Festival are going quick.

Happening on Saturday, December 6th from 2:30 to 5 p.m. at the 23rd Street Armory (22 S. 23rd St.), this year's B&B Fest is being sponsored by local bacon magnate Ari Miller of 1732 Meats. There are all sorts of great restaurants lined up to show off their bacon chops including Pub & Kitchen, The Avenue Deli, Alla Spina and a sneak peek at Bing Bing Dim Sum, the upcoming dumpling house from Cheu Noodle Bar. On the beer end of things there are going to be 17 breweries on hand including Round Guys, ShawneeCraft and the newly opened 2nd Story Brewing. Tickets are going for $46.50, a totally reasonable price for two and a half hours of all you can handle bacon and beer plus the fest is a benefit for MANNA so everyone wins. Don't sleep on this one, last year's event sold out in 30 seconds, seriously. Get your tickets right here
