It's an "(I'd Go) The Whole Wide World" film fest!
British rocker Wreckless Eric is not a household name but he oughtta be. His stuff on Stiff Records in the ’70s should grant him lifetime power pop/garage royalty status. He plays Ortlieb's on Saturday with The Improbables and AM Mills.
Wreckless Eric's most famous song, of course, is "(I'd Go) The Whole Wide World" from 1977. It's really lovely and weird, and it's been covered quite a bit. Will Ferrell sang it to Maggie Gyllenhaal it in Stranger Than Fiction:
