Philadelphia's dwindling diner culture took another hit recently with the shuttering of the historic Oak Lane Diner (6528 N. Broad St.). The shiny chrome diner and new addition have been boarded up with plywood since the beginning of the week and a call to the diner's phone went unanswered. No word yet on what's going to happen to the iconic railroad car dining room.
