Beginning Sat., Feb. 7, Young Friends of the Preservation Alliance – "aimed at engaging young residents of the city on preservation issues related to the urban fabric of Philadelphia" – is kicking off the #ThisJawnMatters campaign. It's a month-long photo/social media campaign dedicated to "bringing awareness to our favorite old places in Philadelphia." That's anything from buildings, signs and really any place in Philly.

From their Tumblr

Let's take a moment to show some love to our favorite old places in Philly. Do you have a favorite old building in Philly, a historic place in the city that strikes a chord with you, or a neglected building whose future you're worried for? Post a pic of it and give is some well-deserved love and attention with the hashtag #ThisJawnMatters.

Use that hashtag on Instagram and Twitter, and shoutout to us too (Twitter: @citypaper IG: @phillycitypaper) – old city spots should get as much love as they can, we say.
