Who was writing those pro-Comcast letters ... and other stuff I'm reading
Every Wednesday, I'll share three links to the Philly-related tech stories I'm reading.

The Verge: That "outpouring of thoughtful and positive comments" Comcast cited as justification for why its merger with Time Warner cable was nothing to fear? Spencer Woodman details how some letters sent by proponents of the merger were actually written by Comcast officials.
Billy Penn: Mark Dent offers keen insights by parsing ridesharing data from a report issued by Uber this month: the majority of Uber drivers on Philly streets are of the still-illegal uberX variety.
Technical.ly Philly: Chris Wink — who, full disclosure, is my former boss — has a measured, longer look at how two changes in the Philly tax code might have been a factor for at least one venture capital firm's decision to relocate to Philadelphia. Read the whole article (slowly), but here's a particularly salient snippet: "[I]f you look to move your venture capital firm to the city, you know that the funds you manage and the percentage-based management fees you receive are not subject to municipal business tax, as is the case in much of the country."
