 
                            	 
                                Frank Lampard scores twice to help NYCFC beat DC United 3-2
 
                                            	On Thursday night Frank Lampard was honored for 300 goals for club and country before the match against D.C. United. By the end of the night he added 2 more to the total to give New York City FC a 3-2 victory over D.C. United.
D.C. United dominated the first half with a goal from Lloyd Sam giving them a 1-0 lead against NYCFC. NYCFC's David Villa helped rally back the team in the 79th minute with a goal thanks to a mistake by United defender Sean Franklin.
In the 85th minute Lampard scored from a scramble in the box tapped by Villa.
Lamar Neagle scored for D.C. United in the first minute of stoppage time tying the match.
Lampard came through two minutes later and scored with a shot to the far post.
NYCF return back into the top spot in Major League Soccer's Eastern Conference.
