Anthony Clark, city elections chair, hasn't voted in last 5 elections
A review of the Philadelphia City Commissioners' voting records shows that Commissioners Chair Anthony Clark has not voted since the 2011 general election, missing the last five elections in the city, including the 2012 presidential election.
Both of the other two commissioners, Stephanie Singer and Al Schmidt, have voted in every election since 2005, the furthest year the voting records go back.
"It's astonishing that Clark hasn't voted since 2011," said Ellen Kaplan, interim CEO of the Committee of Seventy government watchdog group. "The chair of the city's election board should be first in line at his polling place to set an example. Frankly, not voting for three years should disqualify him from running for this office. He should be ashamed."
Clark did not respond to City Paper's repeated requests for comment.
