ABOUT THE WE WIN FOUNDATION - ​ZENAY R. ARNOLD

The "WE WIN" foundation was founded in 2013 by the Arnold Girlz (Actress/ Singer Tichina Arnold and her Sister/ Manager and Lupus Survivor Zenay Arnold). It was formed to help individuals, as well as the families and caregivers who support those suffering with the "Cruel Mystery" (Lupus) and other related autoimmune diseases.

This foundation will provide :
- Holistic health, nutrition and lifestyle programs

- Grants for alternative health treatments such as Stem Cell Therapy and Acupuncture.

- Counseling services

- Financial Assistance

- LupieYoga Program

- "Z's Survival Kit" - Zenay has put together a kit that helps her "survive" during Lupus flares. The kit includes: compression gloves, squeeze balls, hand warmers and juicing recipes specifically for Lupus and other autoimmune diseases or symptoms.

ABOUT LUPUS

Lupus is a chronic, autoimmune disease that can damage any part of the body such as the joints, organs and skin. Lupus can range from mild to life threatening. Presently, there is no cure for Lupus.

An autoimmune disease occurs when the body's immune system mistakenly attacks and destroys health body tissue. There are over eighty (80) types of autoimmune diseases.

The white blood cells in the body's immune system help protect against harmful substances. Examples include bacteria, viruses, toxins, cancer cells, and blood and tissue from outside the body. These substances contain antigens. The immune system produces antibodies against these antigens that enable it to destroy these harmful substances. When you have an auto immune disorder, your immune system does not distinguish between healthy tissue and antigens. As a result, the body sets off a reaction that destroys normal tissue. In other words the body is attacking itself.
