Union Square hot spot for Pokémon GO

Union Square has become one of the city's hottest spot to catch Pokémons.  With 8 Poké stops that are usually activated with 5 lure modules all at once this area is a great location for users to easily catch and grow their XP.

We decided to visit this location during the lunch hour and were able to find several Pokémons within an hour including two new Pokémons for our Pokédex.  We found players in the park at the same location trying to catch Pokémons.  We were told at 5pm Union Square has many more players joining in after work.

If this all sounds foreign to you, here is a a quick explanation to the game basics:

  • Pokémon Go is an app game that can be downloaded for your mobile device

  • A game player is called a Pokémon Trainer and the object of the game is to catch all 147 creatures that are called Pokémon.

  • Pokémons can be found anywhere including inside a home, on the streets near the water etc. To catch a Pokémon you throw a Pokéball at a creature by sliding your finger up to throw the ball when a Pokémon appears.
